Koolout Radio

Koolout Radio previously GT Koolout Radio was Launched on January 13, 2010 to the world via the internet. We are an internet radio streaming online 24  hours, 365 days. Just logon and listen live. 

Our genre is Reggae, Soca and Calypso. 

Koolout Radio moto is to represent Guyana and the Caribbean to the fullest playing positive Caribbean music and sharing good information. 

As a teenager in Guyana, music was my passion and an escape from the average teenage nonsense. I started buying records and playing music (at about 18 yrs old) at house parties which I enjoyed very much. Of course, I then became DJ Kool, the name given to me by a friend. I now go as DJ Brian Kool. 

The first album I remembered buying was Natty Dread by Bob Marley and the Wailers. It is now a digital file mp3 acquire from my iTunes account. 

I had the big sound system (Studio 172), Dj at some New York clubs and dance halls, Canada and Guyana. I remember going to the record stores to get the latest Reggae, Soca, R&B, Pop, that hard to find Oldie or that special vinyl, ect, either from Brooklyn, Queens or Manhattan New York. 

After being in the music business for 30 years as a DJ and acquiring  a broadcasting license, I decided to start my own internet Radio. Thanks to technology, the internet, computers and digital files (mp3).
